Stranraer & The Rhins: a real 20-mile service coverage zone
This radius covers the Stranraer side of Wigtownshire and much of the Rhins peninsula. Ferry traffic, coastal roads and long rural approaches make location detail important: a vehicle described only as “near Stranraer” may be several miles from the town on a very different road environment.
The A75 connects Stranraer east toward Newton Stewart and Dumfries, while the A77 runs north through Cairnryan toward Ayrshire. The A716 serves the southern Rhins and the A718 connects the Portpatrick side, so these route names are useful when a postcode or street address is unclear.
For Cairnryan, Portpatrick and Rhins jobs, tell us whether the vehicle is in a terminal/parking area, on a public road or on a restricted-access site. For accident damage, photos of wheel angle, suspension and the loading approach help us assess whether skates or extra positioning time may be needed.
Base transparency: Lifesaver Vehicle Recovery is based in Glasgow. This page describes a genuine service coverage area and does not claim a separate office, depot or staffed base in Stranraer & The Rhins.
